This is the best thing I’ve seen this week.
I love how many notes this has gotten.
Rose, you are magnificent.
Frankly, I’m baffled. I want to yell “where are you all coming from???”
Because my anti-A$ post has jumped about 500 notes as well in the past 72 hours or so.
“ease the burden of people and families living with autism”
Bringing this back again.
This is incredible. Thank you for posting this. This damn near made me cry
As someone with an autism spectrum disorder, this disgusts me so much I just want to throw up.
This needs to stop.
Whoever wrote the ridiculous comments all over this can come talk to me. I know what it’s like living with someone with Autism. So many things wrong with this.
It’s like saying you should stop donating money and stop promoting aids research too because they haven’t found a cure.
Oh fuck you. Seriously, fuck you .
I didn’t write this, but I know the person who did, who is an amazing parent of an autistic kid.
I am an autistic person. I don’t want a cure because THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING AUTISTIC, you fucking ignoramus who thought it appropriate to compare autism to AIDS research!
Who wants a cure for autism? Not (most) autistic people! It’s you fucking neurotypicals who are scared that hey, people like me think and behave and communicate differently, and yeah, we have issues, of COURSE. So do you. So does everyone.
We need support and understanding and accommodations. Not a cure.
Signed, an autistic person with two autistic children, all of whom are just fine, tyvm.
Shit, I’m so slow, was it Mama Be Good who fixed that awful letter?
No. It’s the person that runs Rethinking Autism. If you click on my original link up there, you should be able to see the original FB post.
If you stop reblogging it, maybe they will.
I have a love/hate relationship with you right now.
(Just kidding…I know, I need to stop calling out the douchewaffles)
You love me, I had vodka.
Honestly, the whole Autism Speaks thing reeks of Kony 2012.
The pathetic thing about “Autism Speaks” is that it DOESN’T speak for actual autistic people, who tend to hate them.
I’ll always be there for you.
Because that’s what friends are for.
Some people asked me to make it rebloggable, so here it is. Enjoy!
